The Shake Hands Knot

The Shake Hands knot is a bend knot meaning it joins two strands of line together. It consists of two interlocking overhand knots, which create a strong and secure bend. This knot is also fairly easy to loosen and untie.

The Shake Hands Knot is the fourth of the 4 other well known interlocked-overhand-knot bends (the Alpine Butterfly, Ashley's, Hunter's, Shake Hands), that are almost as good as the Zeppelin bend.
